My first love when it comes to types of fishing has to be El mar or ocean. Since I was a kid I would spend most of my summers fishing places like Castle Island, Revere Beach, the Sugar Bowl, Nantascket Beach, and Cape cod. It was my love and fond memories of catching Cod, Pollock, mackerel, Blues & flounders from some of these places as a kid that have the most impact on who I am today as an angler. My family played a huge part in this and for that I thank them. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to catch my first striper till 1989 and shortly after in 1990 I caught my first keeper a 38” fish. This started my obsession with the species and sparked my curiosity of both surf & wood plugs. I admire the old timers gone by and those who still line the sand & rocks along our coast. They lived an era that sometimes I wish I could have been part off, but then again I thank them for leaving a path along the sea shore........Enjoy !!!
